With our ability to tailor services ranging from birth through adulthood, transitional challenges become minimised due to a range of long-term programs designed to be monitored by one consistent team. Our comprehensive approach utilises the necessary experience and understanding to better support individuals across environments and appropriately implement meaningful services in school settings, district programs, group home and hospital settings among others.
ABE Clinics’ trained professionals conduct comprehensive and diagnostic evaluations before recommending or offering empirical and research-based interventions.
We offer services such as the following: IEP Consultation and Advocacy, Social Skills Program, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Early Intervention Support, Educational Services and Therapies, Diagnostic Testing, Substance Abuse Counselling, Teen Camp – Handling Stress, Academic Support Services, Children and Youth Counselling, Family Counselling, Parent Education and Support, and ACLD.
IEP Consultation/Advocacy
We help students to obtain appropriate and beneficial educational services from the public school system as required by law.
Social Skills Program
Our evidence-based Social Skills Training program blends both facility-based and community-based training for children and young adults with developmental disabilities and their family members.
Applied Behaviour Analysis
Interventions using the scientific discipline of ABA as techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behaviour.
Early Intervention Support
Pediatrics support for infants and toddlers with disabilities, ages birth through age 2 years, and for their families. Support provided in collaboration with doctors and local regional centres.
Educational Therapies
Educational therapy is used to treat individuals with learning differences, disabilities and challenges. Educational therapy provides a wide range of academic intensive interventions that are designed to remediate learning problems. These interventions are individualised and unique to each specific learner.
Diagnostic Testing
Screening and diagnostic assessments conducted by clinical specialists to determine individual strengths, weaknesses, knowledge and skills prior to instruction and intervention.
Substance Abuse Counselling
Private and family counselling provided for individuals struggling with substance abuse. Clinical therapists available for individualised support system treatment towards full recovery. In-person, phone or Skype conference available.
Teen Camp - Managing Stress
Project-based teen summer camp with a focus on managing stress & anxiety. The focus of this mental health support program is to support high school and college students in self-advocacy, independence and self-awareness skills. Developing these tools as life skills as an avenue to success
Behavioural Challenges
Our Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA) provide intensive individualised behavioural interventions to support children/adolescents with emotional and behavioural challenges.
Children/Youth Counselling
Our Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFT) are mental health professionals trained in psychotherapy and family systems. They treat mental and emotional disorders, including providing support to children, adolescents and families.
Family Counselling
Our Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFT) are mental health professionals trained in psychotherapy and family systems. Support and counselling is offered and provided to individual family members and/or the family as a group.
Academic Support Services
Our Specialists provide access to strategies, support and training for students. We provide tools and guidance for students to be more successful in school, including emphasising supports in study skills, organisation skills and executive functioning skills for each student to be more successful in school and at home.
ADD/ADHD Support Services
Students become involved in our community-based instruction classes focusing on acquiring skills towards within the five functional domains for successful transitions. These classes include job coaching, interview practice, preparation and more.
Transition/Job (+16)
Through consistent parent workshops and training, we provide parents, guardians and family members, classes and support groups as tools to continue in their goal and efforts to support their loved one.
